Malayalam Film actress Kavya Madhavan alias Karthika entered the tinsel world as a child artist with the film 'Pookalam Varavayi' (1991). As a heroine Kavya's debut film was 'Chrandanudikkunna Dikkil' (1999) while she was in the ninth standard. It was a super hit and from then on there was no looking back. Born in the village of Neeleswaram in Kasargod district and now residing in Kochi, this down to earth girl is noted for her rural Neeleswaram dialect. With the Tamil film 'Kasi', the busiest female star in Malayalam, was accepted in Tamil Filmdom. The innocent looking Kavya captured the hearts of moviegoers with her charming face, big beautiful eyes and effervescent smile.
